Happy New Year from Perth Developments & Investments!
As we step into 2025, I want to take a moment to update you all on all developments happening at Perth Developments & Investments.
Pit & Seat Launch:
Most recently, we launched Pit & Seat, and it has now been live for about a week and a half. In this short time, our products have reached over 110,000 people on Socials. While sales have started steadily, we anticipated a slower start due to the summer season in Australia. As with any new business, it typically takes at least four to eight weeks to establish a solid market presence, and we expect to see more significant growth within the next two months.
To manage operational costs effectively, we are transferring approximately 30 CBM of inventory into storage. This will help reduce our warehousing expenses while we build momentum in sales. Overall, Pit & Seat has had a strong start, and early signs indicate that it will become a successful and sustainable business.
We are also making some improvements to our BBQ pit design based on early feedback. The next production batch will feature a sturdier and higher grill for improved usability, along with adjustments to the flame control mechanism, allowing users to reduce the flame size more effectively. These enhancements will improve the overall cooking experience and provide greater versatility for our customers.
International Expansion & Upcoming Business Trip:
In addition to Pit & Seat, we are preparing for an important business trip to China and South Korea this Saturday. One of our key objectives is to explore opportunities in the South Korean market, particularly for our Korean barbecue cast iron pan prototype. We have already developed this prototype and will be reviewing it in China before assessing its potential in South Korea.
Perth Developments & Investments is planning to expand into the South Korean market with both the Korean barbecue cast iron pan and our BBQ pit. While we anticipate launching these products in Australia & New Zealand first, this trip will allow us to conduct market research and evaluate future business opportunities in South Korea.
Beyond business, this trip will also be a cultural experience. I will be visiting the North Korean border in South Korea, and in China, my manufacturing partner Sophy has arranged for me to see the Great Wall of China and the Imperial Palace. These experiences will not only be inspiring but also provide valuable insight into international markets and cultures.
Property Investment & Development Plans:
A few weeks ago, I travelled to Port Hedland to inspect a property as a potential development project. Unfortunately, the property was in poor condition, and while my brother and I submitted a low offer, it was not accepted. Despite this, we remain actively on the lookout for our next development project and are currently exploring available opportunities.
With the recent implementation of a two-year ban on foreign buyers purchasing property in Australia, I anticipate a decline in the market. This has been my prediction for the past 12 months, and Perth Developments & Investments is approaching this period with caution. While we are confident in our ability to navigate market downturns, we are strategically waiting for the right opportunity—a bargain buy that we can develop into a beautiful home and a profitable investment.
Stay tuned for more updates, as we will be sharing all progress on this development. Once we secure our next project, I will be documenting the process with regular video updates and a dedicated blog, providing insights into the entire development journey.
I’m excited about the growth and direction of our businesses and look forward to sharing more updates soon. Thank you all for your continued support!
Jeff Kendall
